Everyday/School makeup routine

So a few bits of makeup that I might normally use are missing from the photos. This is either because the didn't fit in the photo, or that I din't think they looked good enough to go in to the photo (photogenic makeup, yep)

At the school I go to, we are allowed to wear makeup (yay) although some schools aren't allowed we are actually quite lucky!
I have loads of different sized and shaped makeup bags, however this is the one I use for my everyday makeup. It is a good size (would fit in a school bag) and has cute little pastel butterflies on it. It was a gift to me so unfortunately I don't know where it's from :(

I do swap and change between the products I use to see which ones I prefer, and these are the ones I am currently using.

  • I start off by cleansing my face (unfortunately I didn't get a photo if these products, however a great cleanser to use is the Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean clenser. It isn't too expensive plus it works and smells great!

  • Then cover up any impurities using my current concealer, which is Boots Shade-away concealer. This works really well and blends into my skin tone.

  • Next I apply my Rimmel London BB cream foundation. I love this stuff as it gives great coverage and doesn't apply to thick or come out orangey. I also love that it does so many things(Primes, Moisturises, Minimises Pores, Conceals, Covers, Smoothes, Mattifies, Brightens and helps Protect!)

  • I then apply a powder lightly over the top, as I don't like heavy coverage and I want it to look natural. I'm always changing the powder I use however the ones it the picture are MUA pressed powder and the Witch Hazel pressed powder (unfortunately I couldn't find an online link for both of these products ) Another powder I like to use- and need to buy more of, is the Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder (transparent)

  • After that I use a small amount of my Estee Lauder Air Bronzer to highlight and add some colour/shimmer to my cheeks. I like this because it doesn't really come out like a dark bronzer, it's more of a gentle shimmer. Again this was a limited product so there is no link to it on the website any more :(

  • I also gently dust a champaign coloured blusher over my cheek bones to give a natural shine/highlight. A good blush I like to use is the Collection 200 blush as it's a pretty pink colour (you can also take a look at it on Laura's post

  • Then onto my eyebrows. I don't like these big black eyebrows that some girls like to draw on, as I think they look like slugs? I was born with naturally dark eyebrows so I have never needed to do much with them (apart from shaping obviously) For me all I need to use is a slight filling with brown eyebrow pencil to make them even, then set it with a thin layer of clear mascara (definitely not black haha)

  • Moving on to my eyes, first I use the Rimmel London GlamEyes professional liquid eyeliner to line my upper lash line adding a small flick at the end. Then I use my U by Ungargo catwalk khaki liquid liner to line the outer corner of my lower lash line joining to the flick (I was bought this as a gift in January and on the box it says Avon, however there is no link to it any more apart from in foreign countries which is a shame because it's a really great eye liner in a lovely colour)

  • I then curl my lashes using my Primark eyelash curlers. I absolutely love these and I always curl my lashes before applying any mascara because it makes them look more flattering and even though these were cheep (£1) they still work so well!

  • For my mascara, I currently use two different makes. One is from the colour institute which was part of a box set I was bought (it covers really well giving good, even, well spaced lashes) and the other is the Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama mascara which I love as it makes my eyes seem bigger and more wake. I then comb through my eyelashes to make sure they are even and clump-free. Again Luckily for me I was born with long dark eyelashes that work well with most mascaras.
  • For everyday/school, I go very natural with my lips because it's easier and it doesn't need to be re-applied constantly (I don't have to worry about getting it on my teeth either lol) I either use my nude/pink Colour institute lipstick-sometimes with a bit of Tutti cuti very vanilla gloss (which smells amazing or 17 nude gloss, or I use either of the glosses alone (I like the 17 one as it's mini so easy to take around with me) or some days I just use the Carmex mint lip balm.

So that's it really. During the day I keep my powder, eye liner mascara and whatever I use on my lips in the make up bag and then chuck it in my school bag.
Thank you so much for reading this post, and I hope yo enjoyed it!
I would love for you to comment and would really appreciate any suggestions you may have for products or new blog posts.
